As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting residents and guests with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team, delivering through teamwork and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or policy issues.
  • Control access at entry points by confirming resident and visitor credentials, documenting visitor activity as required, and directing deliveries and service providers to approved locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate resources and/or notifying site management as directed by post orders.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner, and communicate significant observations during shift transitions.
