As an unarmed patrol officer in a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions with clear, respectful communication. You will document observations, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment through attentive customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of community grounds, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and community entry areas as assigned, verify authorization for entry, and report suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate parties.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbance calls, welfare checks, and/or rule and policy reminders when directed.
  • Complete detailed written reports and patrol logs, document incidents and maintenance concerns observed during rounds, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
