As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy commercial real estate conference and event location, you will conduct routine foot patrols of indoor and outdoor areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests, vendors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to requests, and collaborate with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and driven by integrity.

Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, conference and event spaces, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with directing deliveries and authorized contractors according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes when possible and requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
