About The Position

The Security Operations Supervisor is part of the Security department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America. The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day safety and security operations at the Training Facility, while also providing support at Allianz Field as needed. This position will assist in the administration of technology systems, and support the planning and implementation of security operations, surveillance, and emergency protocols. This role ensures a safe and secure environment for players, staff, and guests.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in security operations, experience in a stadium, arena, or venue working with sports security protocols preferred.
  • Leadership: Experience supervising security staff.
  • Communication: Clear communicator who understands how to collaborate across teams, serving as a liaison with law enforcement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds as needed, standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Systems: Working knowledge of security systems such as Genetec or similar platforms, and screening tools such as OPENGATE a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol the MNUFC Training Facility and associated property to monitor and prevent intrusion, damage, hazards and breaches of security.
  • Provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security, detecting unauthorized visitors and violators of security procedures.
  • Supervise contract security staff during events such as MNUFC2 matches, Academy events, and stadium events as needed.
  • Monitor activity via closed circuit television.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies that arise.
  • Monitor facility access, create a secure environment by conducting facility walk throughs, locking and unlocking doors
  • Contact relevant authorities to deal with unlawful or irregular activities.
  • Use radio or other communication devices in a clear and concise manner.
  • Write reports, report any malfunctions, misconduct or operational and safety issues.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of public safety plans for day-to-day operations and special events.
  • Travel with teams as assigned.
  • Work with Sporting Office Administrator on security and parking card creation/distribution.
  • Assist with guest check-in and screening at the training facility.
