OVERVIEW: The Security Operations Intern will assist the Director of Security with day-to-day security operations and project-based work that supports the safety and security of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. This intern will contribute to operational improvements, documentation updates, and event and school group procedures while gaining exposure to security operations in a large, public-facing organization. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with a room numbering project throughout the Museum. Update emergency exit and severe weather signage around the building. Assist with reviewing and updating Security Standard Operating Procedures. Support the Safety Warden Program. Assist with school group arrival and departure procedures. Support security operations related to Museum events as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Sophomore, junior, or senior at the college level, majoring in Security, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security/Public Safety (preferred) Experience working with children preferred, but not required. Strong communication skills. Basic computer and software skills. Previous security-related experience not required.
