As a Security Officer - Auto Dispatch Specialist in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, assist with daily operations, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in communication, supporting team members and customers while providing a visible presence. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and coordinate responses to incidents within the automotive facility.
  • Receive and document calls for service, emergencies, and/or maintenance requests, relaying information to appropriate parties in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain detailed logs of all incidents, dispatch activities, and relevant communications throughout each shift.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points remotely and coordinating with on-site personnel as needed.
  • Collaborate with on-site security-related teams to help to deter unauthorized activity and support site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by responding to inquiries and providing information related to site protocols.
  • Participate in emergency response activities by following established procedures and coordinating communications among relevant personnel.
  • Support regular and random patrols by directing security-related personnel to specific areas of the location as necessary.
