Job Description As a Security Officer in Mesquite, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to be part of a reliable, agile, and caring team at Allied Universal, where integrity and teamwork are at the core of everything we do.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, following established protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide assistance and information as needed.
