Job Description As a Security Officer in Mesquite, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to be part of a reliable, agile, and caring team at Allied Universal, where integrity and teamwork are at the core of everything we do.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Screen individuals and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, following established protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide assistance and information as needed.
