Job Description As a Security Officer in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your visible presence and commitment to outstanding customer service will help create a secure environment for staff and visitors. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or concerns according to site protocols.
Collaborate with onsite staff and Allied Universal management to address client needs and maintain security-related standards at the location.
