About The Position

Observes and reports activities and incidents at The Clark Art Institute, ensuring the security and safety of client property, personnel, and visitors. Conducts periodic tours and patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and enforces site regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the premises. Qualifications Controls access to the site through established admittance procedures, assisting visitors and employees with legitimate access needs while efficiently screening individuals. Monitors entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized or unlawful entry; controls the movement of people and vehicles, parking areas, gates, and remote access points using CCTV and access control systems. Preserves order and enforces site regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and premises; calmly addresses and de-escalates disturbances when necessary. Responds to incidents including fire alarms, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding or water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, and inclement weather in accordance with site procedures, company policies, and training requirements. Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates confidence and maturity in enforcing policies and procedures. Provides high-quality customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Possesses the ability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Demonstrates strong computer skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Maintains an understanding of Securitas policies and procedures at The Clark Art Institute. Holds valid Driver License. With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

  • Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs to complete security rounds.
  • Ability to become Securitas Act I, II, III Certified
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form
  • Holds valid Driver License
