About The Position

As a Security Officer - Health Insurance Office Building Patrol in Camp Hill, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with those you encounter. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, addressing the needs of staff, patients, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities such as property damage, theft, or unusual activity.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, visitors, and others at the location, providing assistance as necessary.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
