As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, and document observations using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor and/or authorize entry, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and direct visitors to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public responders as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports of activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
