Job Description As a Security Officer - Storage Facility Full Time in Laurel, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will monitor the property through routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks at key entry points. You will communicate clearly, deliver customer service to employees and visitors, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet while working with integrity and teamwork in a caring culture.

Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and deliveries, directing traffic and/or visitors according to site procedures and reporting access issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
• Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and operate security-related equipment such as radios, key control systems, and CCTV when assigned.
