About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Weekdays in Pearl, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, controlling access, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business interior and perimeter areas.
Observe for unusual activity and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site guidelines.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to help maintain a secure environment.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
