About The Position
As a Security Officer - Full-Time Tech Site in Carson City, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and document observations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing entry and exit points, and documenting deliveries and service provider activity.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
- Complete thorough reports and shift logs, monitor cameras and other systems as assigned, and support security-related audits and/or investigations by preserving observations and documentation.
