As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the store and perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and maintain a visible presence.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed and in accordance with site guidelines.
Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
Work collaboratively with store personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for patrons and staff.
