As a Security Officer - Weekday Patrol Full-Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location where your presence matters. You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, report concerns to site contacts, and deliver a professional customer service approach while supporting a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, mezzanines, stairwells, entrances, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter prohibited behavior; report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity per post orders.
• Complete required documentation such as daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate key information during shift handoff to support continuity of operations.
