About The Position

As a Security Officer - Clearance Required High-Rise in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Arlington, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and site contacts, document observations, and respond to requests with a customer service mindset. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Hold a guard card and/or license preferred.
Hold a CPR certification preferred and it may be completed post hire.
Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, stairwells, mechanical areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying credentials, directing guests to the appropriate areas, and documenting entries as required by location policy.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, medical events, fire alarms, and property damage.
Observe and report security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, broken locks, lighting outages, blocked egress routes, and other conditions that may impact normal operations.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, and common areas, and assist with lock and unlock rounds per location procedures.
Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and intercoms, and notify appropriate parties when issues are observed.
Complete detailed written reports, incident documentation, and activity logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or local authorities as directed.
Provide directions, tenant assistance, and general information while maintaining a professional presence in common areas and during patrol activities.
Support after-hours operations by conducting perimeter checks, monitoring parking areas, and responding to service calls from tenants and building management per location procedures.
