About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Clearance Required in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting issues through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access control points by checking identification and/or badges, directing traffic and deliveries, and supporting visitor processing consistent with site requirements.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, operate communications equipment, and follow post orders and client-specific protocols while working varied environments and conditions.
