Job Description As a Security Officer - PerimeterPatrol Driver Clearance Required in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access issues, and requests for assistance, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Control access points by checking identification and/or badges, verifying visitor authorization, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete required logs, patrol activity reports, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and shift updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
