Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the campus environment. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for staff, students, visitors, and/or vendors in accordance with location protocols.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions, assisting with routine questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or other property-related concerns that could affect daily operations.
