Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, deliver strong customer service and communication, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, student and staff concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and activity across the location, offering directions and support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while documenting security-related issues.
  • Complete routine reports and communicate with campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related observations.
