About The Position

Responsible for the safety and security of Universal Orlando’s guests, employees, and company assets.

Requirements

  • Administration of CPR and/or First Aid, proper operation of an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator).
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Follow established EHS/JSA guidelines.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • High school degree or GED is preferred.
  • Class D Security License must be obtained within first 90 days of employment (required) and must remain valid throughout employment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • 1+ years’ of previous security experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A background check is mandatory, and results must meet Universal Orlando’s background check criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safety and security of all guests and employees by performing a variety of roles including walking patrols, motorized patrols, and occupying various access control points.
  • Utilizes radio telecommunication to report potentially unsafe, suspicious, or threatening conditions.
  • Identifies prohibited items through routine screening of bags, packages, and deliveries and prevents said items from entering property.
  • Conducts routine visual inspections of structures, buildings, carts, and safes to protect company assets during and after business hours.
  • Responds to reported incidents, assesses the scene, and analyzes the situation using sound judgment all while collecting necessary information to construct a written witness statement.
  • Assists and directs guests and employees during safety & emergency situations.
  • Assists during daily operation, peak attendance periods and special events by consistently picking up shifts, overtime, and/or willingly moving to differ.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provide Security services by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, visually inspecting buildings, bags, packages, and deliveries, performing access control and other methods.
