Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, directing visitors, and documenting deliveries and/or contractor activity per site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and use site systems such as radios, cameras, and/or access control platforms to communicate and document security-related activity.
