As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to needs, document activity, and communicate clearly while providing customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and the building perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access control points and observe activity for unusual behavior, unsecured doors, or policy violations; help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity through visible presence.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders when needed.
  • Complete shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and activity reports, communicating security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
