As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with residents, staff, and your Allied Universal team. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and/or hazards to supervisors and site contacts.
