Join Allied Universal at a residential location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with residents, staff, and responding partners, document observations, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, assist with visitor check-in and/or identification verification as directed, and help direct individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, de-escalating conflicts when possible and requesting additional support as needed.
  • Document security-related observations, patrol findings, and incident details in written and/or electronic reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts.
