Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility - Full Time in Corpus Christi, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional, where you will help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizing entry in accordance with established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following location-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required for security-related issues.
  • Maintain awareness of potential security-related hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
