As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and use a computer and/or tablet to complete reports. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card/license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in processes as directed by site procedures, including verifying identification and issuing visitor instructions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical response coordination, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or alarm activations, and notify site leadership and public responders as needed.
Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or unsecured areas, and document findings in written reports, logs, and electronic systems per site requirements.
Assist with de-escalation and customer service-based conflict resolution when interacting with individuals who may be upset, confused, or disruptive.
Operate site communications equipment such as radios, phones, and/or access control systems as assigned, and relay clear information to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives.
Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and/or lockdown activities as directed by post orders, and help guide occupants to appropriate locations.
Maintain a professional presence and appearance consistent with healthcare expectations, while following confidentiality requirements and handling sensitive information with discretion.
