You will conduct routine patrols of buildings and surrounding grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel at a government transportation location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or applicable emergency response procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, road-adjacent grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Control access through assigned checkpoints by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations in written reports and/or electronic systems and relay significant information through the chain of command.
