Now Interviewing for Part Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

1 year Security Experience
Computer Literacy
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, entrances, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
Support order at the location by providing directions, assisting with crowd and visitor interactions, and following post orders during routine operations and/or emergency situations.
