As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for customers and staff. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will help to deter security-related incidents. You will embody our values of teamwork, reliability, and putting people first while supporting a welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the site.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, property damage, or suspicious activity.
Collaborate with store management and/or staff to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for customers.
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as needed by the location.
