About The Position

As a Security Officer in Denton, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to create a secure environment at a shelter location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
  • Assist shelter staff and visitors by providing information, directions, and general support as needed.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services when required, following established protocols.
