About The Position

As a Security Officer in Denton, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to create a secure environment at a shelter location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to individuals at the shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
Assist shelter staff and visitors by providing information, directions, and general support as needed.
Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services when required, following established protocols.
