As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site Day Shifts in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility alerts, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization where required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in processes.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and shift documentation, preserve observed facts, and communicate with site leadership and/or public responders when escalation is required.
