Job Description As a Security Officer - Media Site - Full Time in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge activity, and monitor assigned areas. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver customer-focused communication to employees and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Requirements

Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and telecommunications location.
Operate access control points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry logs, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas while supporting security-related rules.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity, communicate observations to site contacts, and document security-related events per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical calls, and notifications as directed by site procedures.
Complete detailed incident reports, visitor records, and shift activity logs, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site leadership on security-related concerns and/or policy questions.
