About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Site - Front Desk - Full Time in Marietta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and media location, you will be the first point of contact, helping manage access control and badging, greeting visitors, and supporting a professional lobby experience. You will monitor activity at the desk, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and respond to security-related needs with integrity and teamwork in a caring, agile, and innovative environment.

Requirements

Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Staff the front desk and lobby area, greeting guests, answering questions, and directing visitors to the appropriate contacts or meeting locations.
Manage visitor processing, including checking identification, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating visitor notifications with host employees.
Monitor access control points and assist with access requests in accordance with site-specific policies, including coordinating with authorized personnel for approvals.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
Support building operations by handling incoming calls, receiving and routing deliveries, and documenting unusual activity according to post orders.
Use security-related systems such as phones, intercoms, access control platforms, and cameras to identify and report conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
Complete reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, visitor records, and other required logs, with clear and timely communication to Allied Universal management.
