As a Front Desk Officer in a utilities location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, monitor entry activity, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor lobby and reception area activity, verify visitor and contractor access, issue credentials when authorized, and document arrivals, departures, and/or other front desk activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Support a professional presence at a utilities location by answering questions, directing foot traffic, maintaining awareness of access points, and helping to deter unauthorized entry through consistent front desk practices.
