About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for both our guests and team members. This role is ideal for someone who is attentive, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering exceptional service while upholding the highest safety standards. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our property. You will actively patrol the premises, identify and address potential risks, and ensure all safety protocols are followed. In addition to your security responsibilities, you will also serve as a supportive presence for guests, assisting with general service needs and enhancing their overall experience. This is a part-time position that requires a graveyard shift and weekend and holiday availability. All candidates must undergo a background check.

Requirements

At least 1 year of Security experience
Conflict management skills
Safety hazard identification skills
Ability to read, write and follow through with written instruction
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergencies
Good guest and employee relations skills
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Speak, hear, and understand speech at normal levels with or without aids.
Ability to comprehend, carry out and explain verbal and written instructions.
Ability to see and focus with or without visual aids while doing functions of the job.
Constant – walking, standing and repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs
Frequent – exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity, and wetness, walking up and down stairs from one area to another,
Occasional – bending and twisting of neck, climbing stairs, carrying up to 25 pounds.
You must have the ability to lift 20 pounds.
Lift and carry equipment and supplies such as towels and linens.
Drive golf cart during evening hours.
Constantly walking and standing for long periods with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Round the clock patrolling of the property
Monitor staff and property during events
Report any unusual activity or conditions
Assist guest or employees to their car as needed
Ensuring specific doors and gates are locked after hours
Maintain contact with the front desk on an hourly basis by personally checking in at the front desk
Carry out more general guest service tasks, such as delivering items to guest rooms or helping a guest to an area of the property
