As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine patrols of campus areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and calm professionalism. You will support access control and assist students, staff, and visitors with a service-first mindset. Requirements
- Have 2 or more years of security experience.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access control concerns.
- Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate parties.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, crowd management, and coordination with campus officials and/or local public services.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
