As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a residential community, you will focus on access control responsibilities to help foster a secure and welcoming environment for residents and guests. Your role includes monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Control access to the residential location by verifying credentials of residents, guests, and service personnel in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and assisting with inquiries as needed.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and local authorities when appropriate, especially during emergency response activities.
