As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with residents and staff, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry points and building areas, check doors and access points, and report maintenance concerns and/or suspicious conditions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and contacting supervisors and/or local responders as directed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
