About The Position

We are seeking professional, observant, and dependable Security Officers to provide a safe and welcoming environment within an elite office building. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a polished and professional appearance, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining security and safety standards. As a Security Officer at this prestigious property, you will serve as the first point of contact for employees and visitors—ensuring the building's policies are followed, incidents are managed appropriately, and all guests feel secure and respected.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid OH security guard license or guard card (if applicable).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; uniform must be worn neatly at all times.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform patrol duties.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and effective under pressure.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a corporate, commercial, or office security environment preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy (familiarity with access control software, report systems, and Microsoft Office a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control entry and exit points for tenants, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
  • Verify identification and issue visitor badges or access credentials.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs and documentation.
  • Operate security systems, access control panels, and surveillance cameras as required.
  • Conduct routine patrols of building interior and exterior, including lobbies, elevators, stairwells, parking areas, and restricted spaces.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security risks.
  • Ensure all doors, gates, and access points are secure.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies.
  • Greet and assist guests and staff in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Provide building information and directions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with property management, building engineers, and law enforcement when necessary.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to medical incidents, fire alarms, evacuations, or other emergencies.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures in coordination with property management and first responders.
  • Maintain familiarity with site-specific emergency and evacuation plans.
