As a Security Officer Driving Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access activity, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons on site by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including active work areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as conditions vary by site.
  • Monitor site access by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorization when required, and reporting unusual activity that could help to deter unauthorized entry and/or property loss.
  • Support daily location operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with workers, visitors, and/or vendors, and following post orders for after-hours and restricted-area coverage.
