Job Description As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will be key in providing a positive experience for everyone at the location. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Screen individuals and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, following established protocols to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of personnel and visitors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter of the logistics and distribution facility.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or potential hazards to Allied Universal management and client representatives.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Provide visible presence to help to deter theft, loss, or other prohibited activities within the logistics and distribution environment.
