As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet associates and drivers, communicate clearly, document observations, and escalate concerns as needed. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, yard space, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance issues.
- Monitor access points and truck traffic flow, verify credentials and/or delivery information as required by post orders, and document visitor, driver, and contractor activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate status updates during shift turnovers, and operate security-related equipment such as radios, cameras, and/or access control systems in accordance with site procedures.
