As an unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols of classrooms, hallways, and grounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support staff, students, and visitors with professional customer service, accurate reporting, and teamwork. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hallways, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor check-in processes, verifying authorization and directing guests to the appropriate destination in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting issues, coordinating with site leadership, and contacting public emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
