Job Description As a Security Officer - Day Shift Patrol in Piedmont, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and control access to restricted areas according to post orders.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, communicating observations and follow-up needs to Allied Universal leadership and/or the site contact.
