About The Position

The Security Officer position will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees. Identifies security issues by patrolling sales floor, casino floor, corridors, restrooms and entrances.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Must be assertive and have good interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Secures the premises and personnel by patrolling property and maintaining an active presence on the casino floor
Monitors the entire property including all equipment, points of ingress/egress and safety hazards to ensure the safety of all team members and guests.
Maintains property cleanliness. Cleaning up spills, trash and wiping down slot machines
Provide great customer service to all patrons.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
Protects organizations image by keeping security and incident information confidential.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times.
Resolve guest complaints and assists with guest incidents.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Maintains working knowledge of Internal Controls, Human Resources department policies and procedures, and job descriptions of each department on the shift.
