About The Position

As a Security Officer in Plano, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to those you encounter. Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to company and site guidelines.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and observing entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, activities, and observations during each shift.
Collaborate with Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to support a secure environment tailored to the needs of a technology-focused location.
