Job Description As a Security Officer in Plano, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, monitor access points, and support access control to help reduce security-related issues. You will stay highly visible, respond to calls for service, write clear reports, and deliver customer service with strong communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be 21 or older.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecom location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control questions and coordinating notifications per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, labs, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entry points, gates, and assigned areas for unusual activity, and document observations in reports and/or electronic logs as required.
- Assist with fire alarm and emergency-related calls by following site procedures, providing direction to occupants, and coordinating with onsite teams and/or responding agencies as needed.
