As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document activity, and respond to calls for assistance while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture and a commitment to integrity.

Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial response, requesting appropriate assistance, and supporting medical staff as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with wayfinding and hospital guidelines.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
